In just three days, Jacksonville Landing in Jacksonville, Florida will be the center of Pilipino art, culture, and cuisine as Filipino Pride Day takes over the streets lining the beautiful St. Johns River.

Started in 2009, We Filipino Inc., in cooperation with First Coast Care Home Health Agency created the event in order to raise funds towards charities and groups that provide notable service to the community and work towards the progress of the Filipino culture locally, nationally, as well as in the Philippines. The four charities that will be receiving this year's funds are: Philippine Nursing Association, Philippine Medical Society Medical Mission, READ Philippines, and Knights of Rizal Cultural Center.  There will be a raffle with a grand prize of a Nissan Sentra or $10,000!  The FRE-for- all-ages outdoor event, which runs from 11am-11pm, promises to be the best yet.

As an important service to all those who attend, free child ID kits and free health screenings will be made available.

Lining the streets will be various vendors promoting local businesses.  In addition, several tents will be serving authentic Pilipino cuisine throughout the day.

As in the past, there will also be a showcase of live-art.  This year the amazing 8x10 COLLECTIVE will be coming together for Filipino Pride Day.  The 8X10 COLLECTIVE is comprised of the talented Bio siblings, Leo, Gigi, and Grace.  Individually, they display a unique depiction of their experiences in Urban culture; together, they inspire.

At the heart of event sits the main stage, where dancers, singers, and comedians will be showcasing their amazing talents. In the past, the event has boasted some awesome entertainers including last year's headliner, Asia Cruise. Last year we also saw the first hip-hop battle of the event where Jacksonville's own, Systematic Crew, took the crown.

This year Filipino Pride Day is bringing you amazing talent straight from the Philippines.  The lovely international star Karylle Padilla is scheduled to attend.  Along with her, youtube sensation Ryan Bandong will be performing along with his band, Mitchell Grey. Comedian Orlando Sadsarin will also be stopping by to provide a few laughs, and don't forget your local talent!  Several local artists, such as Dancell, will be hitting the stage, in addition to the many new faces hoping to win over the crowds.

There is so much going on throughout the entire day, there is zero chance of a dull moment.  From adobo taste testing contests, to martial arts exhibits and fashion shows, you're in for a very packed day of fun for everyone.
