Hello! I’m not one for writing too much, but I’d like to share this little Time Lapse project that I made about Los Angeles, CA. As I’m sure you already know, the West Coast in general, and Southern California in particular, is home to the majority of the Pilipino-American population here in the U.S. As a matter of fact, according to the 2000 U.S. Census, nearly half a million (or almost one out of every four Pilipinos) live in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas.
I just recently got into photography, and I was able to make this Time Lapse video clip of some of my more interesting pictures. I shot this with a Canon t1i (500D), and this video is comprised of 7,373 pictures altogether. The music is Chevalier De Sangreal, by Hanz Zimmer.
Just in case you were wondering where these places are, here’s the list of locations:
- The Cove in Palos Verdes
- Griffith Observatory
- moon in Lomita
- 110 Freeway off of Carson Street
- factory in Wilmington
- 6th Street Bridge, Downtown LA
- 110 Freeway off of 3rd Street in Downtown LA
- Fountain at Department of Water and Power, Downtown LA
- Fountains outside Opera Hall, Downtown LA
- Walt Disney Hall, Downtown LA

- San Pedro dock
- LAX sign

- Stars over Big Bear

What about you? What are the Highlights of your Hometown?

I used to live in Los Angeles, and as you've shown us, it can be quite beautiful! If anyone is in the area, seeing the sunrise and sunset in both Palos Verdes and Malibu is an absolute must! It's really magical. And as you probably know, there's always plenty of fun to be found in Downtown LA.
I look forward to seeing what you film next! Do you take any requests? Haha! I'd love to see a video of San Francisco, another city with many Filipino Americans. In my opinion, it's one of the most beautiful looking cities on earth along with Paris and Prague.
Awesome video bro!
