The Filipino-American community in Los Angeles marked the 27th Anniversary of EDSA People's Power Revolution  in the Philippines with two commemorative events, an arts exhibit and a memorial mass.

The Filipino American Community Los Angeles (FACLA) PANDAYAN Project with People’s Community Organization for Reform and Empowerment (People’s CORE) Culture and Arts Enhancement Project marked the 27th anniversary of the EDSA People's Uprising of February 1986 with Justice art Exhibit, a 12-day arts exhibition at FACLA in Historic Filipinotown from February 25 to March 9, 2013 at the FACLA Social Hall.

February 25 is the culmination of the 3 day EDSA People’s Uprising that overthrew the dreaded 14-year old US-Marcos Dictatorship in 1986 and this year marked its 27 year anniversary. The Justice Arts Exhibit opened on this day. The exhibit will end with the International Women’s Day, March 9, 2013.

Meanwhile the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles, in partnership with the Filipino Americans For Good Governance, held a commemorative mass at St. Kevin Church in Los Angeles at around 7:00 PM on the same day, February 25, 2013.
