About Krystle Cruz

Krystle began singing at the tender age of 3, and started performing at 9-years-old. The natural born performer notes, "The moment I picked up a microphone and opened up my mouth to the world, I knew that I wanted to share my voice with the world for the rest of my life."

Influenced by artists such as Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Nina Simone and Aaliyah, her sound brings a fresh new face to pop and dance music while paying tribute to those who came before her. Singing, however, is not only the main weapon in her arsenal- she also happens to be a gifted dancer. She started dancing at 13 and joined the San Marcos High School dance team as a freshman. As she grew, so did her skills. Krystle also continued further training in Hip Hop under Erik Saradpon and Phillip Geniza for five years and joined their all-female Hip Hop team Hi-Fidelity and their co-ed team Mass Appeal, under the umbrella of EK Entertainment & Talent Company (EKetc).

In 2008, she decided to thoroughly focus on her music. Soon after, Krystle was discovered on YouTube by a prominent producer at a Japanese label, Avex Entertainment. She flew to Japan, and for 3 months she underwent exclusive artist development- training physically and vocally under international industry professionals. Shortly after returning to the United States, she began working with talented musicians, writers and producers all for one goal: to release a full length album.

2010 has proven to be a good year for Krystle. She began to perform in a myriad of cities around the country, performing in front of fans old and new. In the summer of 2010, she released her debut record entitled Underneath Me, which is a true example of Krystles musical tastes: relatable lyrics over Pop/Soul and R&B melodies incorporated with Dance beats. The debut of her record proved to be a one-of-a-kind success within itself as she received a majority of the funding through the support of her family, friends and fans.

Her budding star continues to grow, and the release of Underneath Me is only a microcosm of the sheer potential this young woman brings every time she graces the stage.
