Kabataang maka-Bayan and SIPA together were able to participate in a unifying philanthropic event with boxing champion, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. KmB and SIPA took the lead in passing out the five hundred turkeys that Team Pacquiao brought to the people of Historic Pilipino town [in Los Angeles, California]. Not only was the boxing champion welcoming and down to earth with all of us as volunteers, he was hands on during the entire event, carrying and passing out 16lb pund turkeys for an entire hour, while shaking hands, and doing media interviews. KmB was able to do the same, in serving our Pilipino community of Historic Pilipinotown, during the entire event. We took the lead, and were hands on with the boxing champion, and Freddie Roach, his inspirational coach, who is battling parkinson disease.

This event certainly exuded the essence of the Bayanihan spirit that Filipinos the world over are known for, with Pac-man teaming up with both KmB and SIPA to reach out to the famed fighter's fans. Pacquiao's generosity was truly noted and appreciated, not just by the hundreds of fans in attendance, but also by the sizable international press contingent on hand to record and report on the event.
All things considered, while the free Turkeys were no doubt appreciated, the thought and the effort involved certainly deserve to be recognized as well.
Good luck on Dec 6th against The Golden Boy, Manny, and keep up the good work! Same thing goes to KmB & SIPA, much appreciated!
