With the PCN (Pilipino Cultural Night) season in full swing, Pilipino college organizations all across California have been showcasing their collective talents in acting, singing dancing, writing, choreography, designing, publicity, and directing a full, student-run production. Different organizations call it by different names: PCN (Pilipino Cultural Night), PCC (Pilipino Cultural Celebration), FCN (Filipino Cultural Night), PACN (Pilipino American Cultural Night), or CPC (Celebration of Pilipino Culture).
No matter what they are called, however, PCN/PCC/FCN/PACN/CPC's have been a medium for Pil-Ams in Californian colleges to express and interpret their experience, build community, and help feed their cultural curiosity. The productions vary from year to year, but one common factor is the intense amount of hard work, dedication, and talent that these college students place in their shows.
