Rebuilding the Forum: BakitWhy Style

In the era before Social Networking, how did Fil-Ams stay in touch? How in the interwebs did we stay connected without Friendster/MySpace/Facebook/Multiply? Why, chat rooms of course! Yes, I hearken back to the days of 2400 baud modems, AOL 2.5, and CompuServe.  Some of you may be too young to remember, but PinoyPinay chat rooms were all the rage back in the day.

Somewhere in between the Social Networks and the Chat Rooms sat the almighty Forums.

Ah, the Forum. Saying the word brings me such nostalgic bliss. I'm sure, though, that some are saying, "Forum? What sort of newfangled tech-devilry be this? I know only of the Forum Romanum, and that has been in disrepair for an age!"  Well, tech-caveman, modern online forums don't stray too far from their namesake.  They are basically a place to discuss things online.  Think of it like your Facebook wall, except organized into neat little discussion topics.  Being the community-based people we are, we'd love to hear what everyone thinks about every bit of minutia that comprises the Fil-Am experience.  We here at BakitWhy provide the venue for the discussion, you all out there provide the discussion itself.  It's a perfect symbiosis.

So, we would love if you joined us this MONDAY, MARCH 23RD, in creating a hopefully perpetual online chop-up session where you can discuss anything from Culture to Kadios, from Politics to Pili Nuts, from Balut to… BakitWhy.
