Our community is full of rising stars who are working hard to represent Filipinos in the media. Check out these two artists:

Ruby
H&M is looking for someone to represent them as a fashion reporter for their store opening in Tokyo this September. Vote yes for Ruby!

Ruby is part of spoken word collective iLL-Literacy (www.ill-literacy.com). She represents Filipina women in a positive, empowered light, that is rarely seen in mainstream media. She's already moved up in the rankings, but needs to maintain a top 10 spot to make it to Tokyo! So click here and click YES!

Bambu

Also Bambu (Native Guns) has his successful acting debut in director Patricio Ginelsa's (Kid Heroes Productions) LA Film Festival "Canon 72 Hour Bring IT Film Competition"!

Check the clip below:

We should expect more from Bambu on the silver screen in the future.

Congratulations to everyone who was part of the film and for winning the competition!
