Lots of people aren’t fans of the Grammys, or award shows on TV. Infact, you can count me as one of them. We already know the music, and we already bought/downloaded/stole it, so the Grammys certainly aren’t a source for us to find new music to try.
So I’m devoting my space today at BakitWhy.com to finding out what Pilipino and/or Pil-Am music you listen to.
In the last year, BakitWhy.com has spotlighted such exciting artists as Lauren Santiago, Charmaine Clamor, Chris Cedana, and Vincent Reyes. But that’s only a small percentage of the great talent out there in need of our help and word-of-mouth!
So let’s have our own little BakitWhy.com party as Grammy mania sweeps the rest of the country.
Who are some other Pilipino/Pil-Am artists you listen to? Let us know!
Perhaps you’ll be reading about them down the road here at BakitWhy.com!

I'm a big rap fan and my favs in the game are proud Pinoys themselves - Kiwi + Bambu (Native Guns forever) and Blue Scholars. Always good music from them.

Eraserheads will always be in there for me. When I visited the Philippines back in 2005, I discovered Kitchie Nadal. Then my cousin posted some songs on Multiply, and now loving Cynthia Alexander. Her song "Heya" is so catchy. And a personal fave: isLa (okay, shameless plug but there you go, hahaha!)
