Shirt The Kids 2011 New Jersey was packed with music and fun for a good cause! Artists from East, West , and South came together to perform at this one-night event .
The brainchild of PNOY Apparel,Shirt The Kids Foundation’s mission is to “EDUCATE, MOTIVATE, AND PARTICPATE” They are looking to motivate the youth and aspiring leaders to raise awareness about continuously growing populations of impoverished children in the Philippines. It is about providing information, encouraging everyone to react, and to facilitate a helping hand. The foundation provides the tools (STK Toolkit) for youth, organizations, and communities to aide necessitous children by hosting their own Shirt The Kids Showcases, fundraising events, or an event tailored to them. STK is the people’s charity. They not only want people to support the mission, but they also want them to feel like they NEED to help. It is with their WANT and NEED that we can "HELP PUT A SHIRT ON POVERTY".
The StK NJ event featured an amazing lineup of talented artists; Leejay Abucayan, Kat Badar, Jesse Barrera, April Chase, Jennifer Chung, Kierra Folsom, Mitchell Grey, Noel Kunz, Danielle Maglente, Triangle Offense, Melissa Polinar, and AJ Rafael. Jon De Castro was the host of the evening, and he amped up the crowd all night long for each act coming up. Everyone had fun, and the audience was absolutely excited to see the closing song with all the artists coming together

The Shirt The Kids Foundation (STK), is an organization based out of San Diego, CA with an aim to “HELP PUT A SHIRT ON POVERTY” in the Philippines. The term “Shirt” in STK is not just about providing a piece of clothing. STK also aspires to foster an environment in order for children to succeed in poverty-stricken countries. The foundation focuses on providing needs such as food, clothing, medical-aid, and education to the distressed children through various Non-Profit Organizations. |
