With all the New York City madness set aside, things have been looking up for Pilipina American Iliana Inocencio, who recently tweeted: “I'm a lucky girl. Good friends. Good life.”

Inocencio is an improviser, actress, singer and dancer who swims in the talent pool of the city that never sleeps.

The Virginia native, born to a Pilipino father from Visayas and to a Singaporean mother, is part of a New York indie improv team called Day Camp Kids, which she helped set up last December.

She often performs with other improvisers from the People's Improv Theater and Upright Citizens Brigade. The multitalented Pil-Am has appeared in both television and on stage - including a cameo in Gossip Girl and playing Belle in a Beauty and the Beast theater production.

The former Miss Teen Philippines USA studied improv on scholarship at The Second City: Chicago in its Summer Intensive Program. She finished up her improv studies at The People’s Improv Theater.
