Coca-Cola Gives OFW Families a nice Christmas Surprise

Going out-of-state for college can be tough for most young adults, and we live for winter and summer breaks to finally re-unite with family and friends.  It’s these times with our loved ones that we get recharge ourselves for the next semester and catch up on the favorite past time of college students, SLEEP.

But for Overseas Foreign Workers (OFW’s), the holidays can be tough. They work and send money back home to support their families, and most times are not able to come back home to see the ones they love.

Well, Coca-Cola’s Where Will Happiness Strike Next Project made its way to the Philippines with The OFW Project.

There are OFWs who have been away from their families for years! Unable to save up enough money to come back for a vacation as they scrape for every penny that they can to send back home.

So I have to give it up to Coca Cola Philippines. A slow clap goes out their way as they put together this campaign to bring home a few families who have not seen their loved ones in years!

I'm usually not a very big fan of commercialism & consumerism, but I gotta admit, Coca Cola did good with this project.
