In which place the Philippine independence day celebrated grandly?
It looks like I missed this year’s celebrations by a month or two. Not Filipino myself, but I have a lot of Filipino friends and I’ve always loved the live event production I see in Filipino culture celebrations. Anyways, I think cultural celebrations should all be treated like St. Patrick’s day: You don’t need to be Irish to drink green beer. In celebrating one culture, you are celebrating culture and humanity in and of itself, and I think everyone should feel privleged to be a part of that. I’ll keep a little more up to date next time around and see if I can find an event within driving distance.

If anyone will be in the Southern California Inland Empire area, The Kabalikat Society will be hosting the 1st Annual Philippine Independence Day Festival in Chino Hills on JULY 12 from 12PM-8PM at the Chino Hills Community Park! FREE EVENT! Art Exhibit, Food, Performances, and fun! Confirmed are performances from: CSUF PASA, CPP Barkada, Team Millenia, Free the Robots, love,resonate, My Hollow Drum, and more!
