An Evening with Charmaine Clamor: Jazz Vocalist and World Singer

Charmaine Clamor, the # 1 Filipino American Jazz Vocalist and World Singer, will perform a jazz concert synthesizing Filipino folk songs using indigenous Filipino musical instruments with the swing and soul of American jazz- pop-blues-funk music. Called a gifted vocalist (New York Times) and one of the most important and orginal jazz singers of the decade (Los Angeles Times), Charmaine will also feature "Flow" (Agos)a song dedicated to global water conservancy groups. 

Hosted by the University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Greater Chicago (UPAAGC) and the University of Chicago International House Global Voices Program. 

Beneficiary:  San Joaquin, Iloilo, Philippines UPV marine research project.
