Our goal is to improve impaired vision for school aged children in the Philippines. When students cannot see, they often face challenges with their schoolwork. Eventually, they may lose interest in school and become at risk of dropping out. Compounding the problem, many of these families cannot afford the vision care and eyeglasses they desperately need.

Since 2006, Physicians for Peace has been working with local eye care teams in multiple provinces of the Philippines to provide vision screenings. For those who require eyeglasses, we have generous corporate supporters who donate optical frames. But these frames need prescription lenses. And lenses cost money. With this campaign, you can help us raise $1,500 to provide 500 children with a pair of prescription glasses.
