Assemblymember Rob Bonta has introduced Assembly Bill 123, a bill that will require school districts to include the contributions of the Filipino Americans from the farm worker movement in California within their social study instruction.

The stories of great Filipino Americans such as Larry Itliong, Pete Velasco, and Philip Vera Cruz, and their leaderships roles in critical turning points in the farm labor movement, should be learned and not forgotten.

Therefore, as youth, workers, professionals, and allies of relevant education need to come together to support this bill. It our history, let's take ownership of it!
