Pilipino Americans Got Talent

Any talent is welcome as long as a Pilipino historical and/or cultural element is incorporated.
To enter the "Pilipino Americans Got Talent" contest, download the application, fill it up, and turn it in to SouthBay Pavilion Guest Services no later than midnight on October 27, 2011.
Criteria for entry:
1. Each act must have at least two (2) members and shall not exceed ten (10) members at least half of whom are of Pilipino descent.
2. Each act must be a live performance (not recorded), for example, spoken word or poetry, singing, dancing, a puppet show or theater scene, etc. You may use recorded music as part of the performance.
3. Each performance should last no longer than 4 minutes and will be timed during the show.
4. Each act must incorporate some aspect of Pilipino culture and/or history into their performance. The judges should be able to recognize these elements.
5. Each act must sign up for approval, include detailed description of their act, and provide contact information that includes one adult by October 5th, 2011. Late entries may or may not qualify for the contest depending on amount of entries already received on time.
6. Each act will be contacted 2 weeks prior to the competition to confirm their entry.
7. Each act is expected to arrive two hours prior to their performance time and sign in. The grand prize is $500.
8. The winner or winning group agrees to be featured at the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival (details of date, time and place will be provided at a later date)
