"If you want to improve, be content to be thought foolish and stupid." - Epictetus

"I'm not saying I'm gonna change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the world." - Tupac Amaru Shakur

We are forWord, an arts collective with an emphasis on spoken word and creative writing. We aspire to encourage self expression, connect with other poets, and improve our creative skills in the process.

This group is comprised of four members, Susan Diep, Eddy M. Gana Jr., Mark Maza, and Stephanie Sajor, who met while students in the spoken word organization Uncultivated Rabbits at the University of California, Irvine.

Our inspirations vary from music to Sarah Kay to art to Tupac Amaru Shakur to Godzilla haikus to Shihan to Andrea Gibson to Langston Hughes to Mae to Broadway to Alvin Lau to Shakespeare to Hip Hop to Disney & Pixar to Nujabes to Saturday morning cartoons to everyday life.

Our favorite animal is a rabbit.
