What do Vince Vaughn, the Chicago Bulls, and a restaurant that serves San Miguel and pancit have in common? They are the answers the public gave when Victoria's Secret asked "What's Sexy Now Chicago?" And you can't find a much bigger authority on sexiness than Victoria's Secret.
To be fair, this is not your neighborhood Pilipino restaurant. Sunda, which opened its doors in March of 2009, is the newest downtown place to be seen.

Close to 900 Pilipinos from the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia) converged onto George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia for "Makinig II." "Makinig," meaning "to listen," was a show put on by GMU's Pilipino Cultural Association and the Asian Pacific American Council with donations and proceeds going to Gawad Kalinga's Operation GK: Walang Iwanan, which is aimed at providing relief efforts for those victimized by Typhoon Ondoy.
On Oct. 22, 2009, the We Are One Typhoon Ondoy Benefit Concert opened up in Glendale, Ca to a surprisingly large turn-out, given the surrounding circumstances. Basically put together in a matter of a few weeks, We Are One was a collaboration and mobilization like no other, with Pilipino celebrities from across the nation and world coming together to lend their time and support for a real world crisis which has sadly taken a backseat to fake stories of boys trapped in out-of-control air balloons in the American news media.
LOS ANGELES, CA - Responding in their own unique way to the plight of thousands of their kababayans affected by the twin – soon to be, triple – typhoon devastations in The Philippines, the Filipino American Mixed Martial Arts community is taking the fight for typhoon relief with THEIR FIGHT IS OUR FIGHT, a special fundraiser taking place Sunday, October 25 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Legends Mixed Martial Arts Training Center, 5176 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.
