University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's (UIUC) Philippine Student Association (PSA) performed "Binaylan-Banog" at Battle of the Bamboo 2012 and was awarded with 1st place.

"Binaylan-Banog" is a ritual tribal dance, imitating the movements of a hen, her baby chicks, and a hawk or banog. She protects her young as a hungry hawk attacks. The hawk is sacred and is believed that it has the power over the well-being of the tribe. The hawk tries to capture one of the baby chicks and is killed by the hunters.
