To promote her latest book Toxicology, Pilipina American author/playwright/musician Jessica Hagedorn created an experimental short film. Here is a video of The Center of Asian American Media (CAMM) interviewing Jessica Hagedorn at her home in New York City about the film.
Hagedorn is best known for her books Dream Jungle and Dogeaters - the latter was nominated for a National Book Award. Her latest book, Toxicology, revolves around the lives of two women, a filmmaker and a drug addict, who are neighbors in Manhattan's West Village. The book was released in June 2011.
