St. Louis University's Filipino Student Association performed the "Sarimanok Dance."
According to a Lanao legend, the beautiful daughter of the Sultan of Lanao was taken by a prince-deity name Sari who turned into a majestic cock and took the princess away on her 18th bithday. In the dance, the Sarimanok courts the princess. The sultan and his guards try to stop the Sarimanok through the bamboo forest. Eventually the Sarimanok takes the princess with him into the sun.
